Brief

As part of a University-wide review of student services, Derby University commissioned us to name, brand and manage a campaign to capture and analyse student opinions about life at university.

Solution

Branded as 'Feedback' it was launched with a targeted poster campaign encouraging students to engage with the survey. On-campus drop boxes and a bespoke online system captured responses. Video diary pods proved a huge success in the Students’ Union bar, as did the ground crew offering free tea and coffee to willing respondents.

Results

A highly successful launch campaign in 2006 saw us retained for a re-run in 2007, 2008 and 2009. In 2009 we collated over a 1,000 online responses and contributed to over 30 university-wide changes including the introduction of a new park and ride scheme, an enchanced student email system and even the purchase of Derby Theatre after the need for better arts facilities was highlighted!
