To rename, rebrand and launch the new name across the College over 2010 in preparation for the full relaunch in September 2010. A shift in management from solely Tyne Met College to 4 High Schools in North Tyneside meant bgroup had to successfully engage and gain agreement from all decision makers throughout the project. They wanted a brand that was aspirational and communicated quality.
We conducted some research with the main stakeholders including the project board, students at the college and students from the feeder schools that may select the college for their next steps in education. The results informed our approach, style and content of the rebrand and communication materials. We presented 3 names and brands and the client selected our favourite which was the Queen Alexandra name and brand style. The entire design set was a resounding success across all stakeholder groups, positioning the college with its new management team in the right place for the future.
The college has a strong name, brand and quality-led materials to assist the re-positioning of the college going forward. Coupled with excellent internal materials and signage, the new brand is set to be rapidly accepted as the new name.
